I'm still alive, I promise, just EXTREMELY busy. Thus therefore, it's been hard to find maybe even half an hour to write something sensical or vaguely interesting on the Internet. All this, despite much of my days being spent in front of a computer (plus perhaps contributing to some sort of innate extra-curricular computer activity phobia). In short, it's been DJing, design, work, and university utterly draining my days. And, of course, the usual indulgence in records, although somewhat restrained (maybe).
I leave you with the poster for the next UG Beats (and I'll be back soon). I think it's hot.
*Also, Stonefest announcement coming on Thursday. |

Hey folks. It's that time of the year, when Australian dance culture website InTheMix puts up their Top 50 poll, to see who's colloquially 'Doin' Thangs' in the area. So, hey, if you enjoy supporting Jem's vinyl habits, or nights out like UG, Cheese On Toast, my occasional spots at Lithium, new ventures like Knightsbridge Penthouse, and them fresh Friday Happy Hours at Transit, do me happy and click that image (or text link) below. It'll automatically put me (Jemist!) on that #1 slot thang. It'll only take about a minute to fill in some other details, and you'll make me smile happy.
You can even win stuff (in particular a Technics prize pack thang, maybe some headphones), although I believe that part is limited only to Australian residents (apologies to all international folk).
As for the rest of your votes, you can slot in folk like:
Local DJ (ACT) [UG Beats representatives] Pornstylus, Miss Universe, Bec Paton, Radge [FIED Elite] D'Opus, Escha, Para, Shunji, Karton, Adam Wesley, Hyperion, Mr. Brown, Mags [Other dopeness] Mikah Freeman, Milkbar Nick, Peekz
Club Night (ACT) UG Beats!!!
The other things are up to you. I recommend 'Katalyst & Koolism' for ACT Event though, as I had myself a fun evening indeed.
Do me proud, internet people!

Man, I've got a hankering for The Auteurs' After Murder Park... I wish I still had it (unfortunate and unnecessary victim of the CD Exodus Of 1998). |
